HELP EDUCATE YOUNG CHILDREN, TEENS and ADULTS OF ALL AGES.

In 1999, Street Smart Kids, LLC, a black woman owned business, created an educational, safety board game for children ages 6 and up. The object of the game is to leave from home to one of four destinations: School – The Mall – Playground – Playmate’s House and return home safely. The first child to return home became the winner! Many of the games were donated to Toys For Tots Foundation, elementary schools, after school programs, neighborhood community centers, summer camps and religious organizations.

With the digital age, the company recognized the need to convert the board game into an online course. Street Smart Kids also recognized the need to help keep adults safe with the creation of an adult version of the program.

In each of the courses, participants will be presented with “what if” case scenarios followed by multiple choice answers.

With the adult course, the answer must be chosen before the time is up. However, with the children’s game, there is no time limit for each question allowing time for the child to visualize and carefully consider the options.

In the wake of recent shootings, political and racial unrest, the increase of missing children, bullying, attacks on minority groups, drug usage and online dating scams, the Street Smarts Matter courses are meant to provide a foundational knowledge of practical safe choices.
